Jeffrey Metcalf New F&B Manager at Williamsburg Inn
WILLIAMSBURG, VA, March 10, 2006. Jeffrey Metcalf has been appointed manager of Food and Beverage at the Williamsburg Inn. He will oversee service in the Regency Room, Restoration Bar, Terrace Lounge and room service at the Williamsburg Inn, as well as the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club's Gold and Green Course Grills and DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum Caf'e.
"He has an impressive career in the hospitality industry," said Nicholas DiMeglio, general manager of the Williamsburg Inn. "Jeff also has ties to the Williamsburg area, having worked for the College of William and Mary, Kingsmill Resort and Conference Center, and the Trellis Restaurant during his career."
"My family is so pleased to be back in Williamsburg and I am delighted to be a member of The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation," Metcalf said.
Most recently, he served as assistant general manager/director of sales and marketing with The Sanderling Resort, Spa and Conference Center in Duck, N.C. Metcalf has worked at the College of William and Mary as director of catering, at Kingsmill Resort and Conference Center in numerous positions including executive meetings manager, and the Trellis in Merchants Square as an apprentice chef.
He is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University with a bachelor's degree in food service management and an associate's degree in culinary arts. Metcalf and his wife, Jennifer, and their three children reside in the Williamsburg area.
