Sarova Hotels Lists on Nairobi Bourse
KENYA, April 06, 2006. Sarova Hotels Group is planning to list on the Nairobi Stock Exchange and build new hotels in Uganda and Tanzania, a company official has said.
"We are planning to list on the Nairobi Stock Exchange through which we shall raise funds to build modern hotels in East Africa," the acting general manager of Sarova Stanley Hotel in Nairobi, James Gituanja, said. "The hotels we shall build will also be listed on the local stock exchanges so that they raise funds for extension programmes," Gituanja told Ugandan tour operators who were on a study tour of the services provided by Sarova Group in Nairobi and Mombasa recently.
The operators included Bunyonyi Safaris, J.CM Travel, Midas Touch, Lets Go Travel, Tours and Travel Centre, Sanaa Travels, Karibu Travel Services and Africa Travel.
