KLM Increases Fuel Surcharge

. October 14, 2008

EUROPEAN UNION, April 19, 2006. In response to soaring fuel prices, KLM is to increase its fuel surcharge by EUR 5 per stretch on all long-haul flights.

This increase, imposed on tickets issued as of April 15, 2006, will be withdrawn once the barrel price drops below US$ 65 for 30 consecutive days.

With this latest increase the fuel surcharge will amount to EUR 45 per stretch within the intercontinental network.

A surcharge will not be adjusted on European routes, which means that within Europe the fuel surcharge will remain EUR 15 per stretch.
