Podcast Launched at Tecton Hospitality's Boutique Hotels
MIAMI, FL, April 17, 2006. Know the lay of the land before you arrive. Imagine stepping off the plane and knowing exactly where to go for the perfect strawberry mojito, the hottest night club, or chic local shopping. Desires Hotels, the boutique division of Tecton Hospitality, introduces an innovative concept, podcasts, for travelers looking for an insider's guide to what's hot in Miami, Atlanta and Puerto Rico; a first for these destinations in the hospitality industry.
At select Desires Hotels, including the San Juan Water & Beach Club Hotel (www.waterbeachclubhotel.com) in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the newly opened Glenn Hotel ( www.glennhotel.com) in Atlanta as well as Circa 39 ( www.circa39.com), and Hotel Astor ( www.hotelastor.com) in Miami Beach, guests will be given the unique opportunity to download a podcast, created by the resident experts, The Manager of Desires, from each hotel's Web site. It will include helpful information on everything from exotic road trips to restaurant openings and special events.
The podcasts will help guests experience their destination from a local's perspective. "Since 2004, the phenomenon of podcasting has grown rapidly, and the customers that stay at our Desires Hotels use podcasts to get information on a variety of subjects and interests," states Doug Carrillo, vice president of sales and marketing of Tecton Hospitality. "Podcasting at our hotels is just our way of getting them the latest and greatest of what to do in each destination in a manner that they want it and from a resident expert."
Guests can download the podcasts to their Ipod, other MP3 player or computer via the hotel's website, or download and listen to it upon check in. The podcasts will be updated on a weekly basis so guests will be informed of the latest happenings in each city.
