Washington Terrace Hotel Joins Doubletree Family
Popular downtown hotel reflagged July 1, 2005
WASHINGTON, DC, July 5, 2005. of the District of Columbia's most well-known hotels, the Washington Terrace Hotel, was reflagged as a Doubletree Hotel on July 1. The announcement was made recently by the hotel's ownership group, the RLJ Urban Lodging Fund, LP, an affiliate of RLJ Development, LLC, and the property's management company, Davidson Hotel Company.
The hotel, located on Rhode Island Avenue just six blocks from the White House, has 220 guest rooms, 39 suites and more than 6,700 square feet of meeting space.
"Joining the Doubletree family of hotels has many advantages," explained Wilton "Chick" Hill, president of Davidson Hotel Company. "Doubletree's branding is excellent and the company enjoys a wonderful reputation with travelers. The association with Doubletree will help the Washington Terrace Hotel to become an even more successful hotel."

The new Doubletree will feature beautifully appointed guest rooms, high-speed Internet access and a completely modern fitness facility. The hotel is also host to the award-winning downtown Washington, DC restaurant, 15 Ria. The New York chic bistro has a 72-seat restaurant and 50-seat bar and showcases fresh, natural food at unpretentious prices.
