Mansion on Turtle Creek Looking For Buyer
DALLAS, TX, April 27, 2006. Rosewood Hotels and Resorts and its partner Maritz, Wolff and Co. have reportedly been squiring prospective buyers around the landmark Mansion on Turtle Creek here in hopes a buyer will snap up the 143-room, five-star hotel and restaurant.
According to The Dallas Morning News, Rosewood Hotels chairman Stephen Sands said the company had spoken to some buyers for the 25-year-old Mansion, but stipulated Rosewood would continue to operate it. "I don't know what the chances of that happening are," he told the newspaper.
The property is expected to attract the attention of significant industry players of the caliber of The Blackstone Group or Laurence Geller's Strategic Hotels and Resorts, as well as high-net-worth individuals.
Since 1997, the Mansion has been jointly owned by the Caroline Rose Hunt family and Maritz, Wolff and Co.
