Eden Roc Renaissance Hires/Promotes Several Executives
MIAMI BEACH, FL, May 5, 2006. The Eden Roc Renaissance Resort & Spa, currently preparing to undergo a dramatic $110 million renovation, continues to grow with the addition of several new-hires and promotion of current employees. Diana Hernandez has been named Director of Human Resources, Andrea Suero takes on the role of Director of Finance and Accounting, Michael Speranza will be Restaurant Manager of Aquatica, Lisa Gladstone joins as Senior Event Manager, and Talya Levitov rounds out the group, being promoted to Event Manager.
Diana Hernandez, the most recent addition at the Eden Roc, joined the Renaissance team in June of 2000 as Director of Human Resources at the Renaissance Jaragua in the Dominican Republic. Prior to that, the St. John's University graduate held various Human Resources positions at other Marriott properties including the LaGuardia Marriott and New York Marquis Marriott.
Director of Finance and Accounting, Andrea Suero, is a Florida State graduate with degrees in Finance and Hospitality Administration. She has been with the Marriott family since 1998, when she served as Front Desk Manager for the Fort Lauderdale Marina Marriott. She has since moved up the ranks at properties such as the Chicago Marriott Downtown and the Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe in New Jersey before arriving at her current position with the Eden Roc.
Michael Speranza, also a graduate of Florida State University, joins the Eden Roc as Restaurant Manager of Aquatica, the resort's highly successful casual restaurant. Previously, Speranza won various awards as Restaurant Manager at several other Marriott properties, including the Tampa Renaissance International Plaza and the Tampa Marriott Waterside.
A graduate of the University of Florida, Senior Event Manager, Lisa Gladstone brings with her more than ten years of experience planning meetings and events. She handles all aspects of convention services on the property, working closely with meeting planners to ensure complete satisfaction with each event.
Event Manager, Talya Levitov, started at the Eden Roc as a Sales Coordinator at the Eden Roc in 2004. The Loyola University graduate was soon promoted, and now acts as liaison between field salespersons and customers throughout the entire event-planning process.
