National gathering to bring security and safety measures to the hospitality industry

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, May 10, 2006. The Loss Prevention Management Institute of the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel & Restaurant Management at the University of Houston, in association with The California Hotel & Lodging Association, Arthur J. Gallagher Insurance Company and W.W. Grainger, are pleased to be hosting the Hospitality Loss Prevention Conference, to be held quarterly in different locales throughout 2006. The conference will be held in San Francisco in June (date to be determined).

This day-long seminar brings together skilled practitioners from different segments of the hospitality industry to provide expert opinions, in-depth analysis, and useful lessons learned from their many years of experience relating to safety and security issues facing the industry. The presentations are designed to inform, as well as challenge, the audience to take a holistic approach to protection at all levels. They will focus on topics including Terrorism Response and Preparation, Leadership and the Safety Process, Closed Circuit Television Systems Uses and Pitfalls, Developing an Effective Loss Control Program, and Employee Fraud and Identity Theft.
