InterContinental Hotels Group Appoints Robert B. Hill, GM InterContinental Stephen F. Austin
ATLANTA, GA, May 17, 2006. InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) [LON: IHG, NYSE: IHG (ADRs)], the world's largest hotel group by number of rooms, has named Robert B. Hill General Manager for the InterContinental Stephen F. Austin in Austin, Texas.
As General Manager, InterContinental Stephen F. Austin, Mr. Hill has full responsibility for the financial performance, service quality and overall operations of the hotel. A 17-year veteran in the hospitality industry, Mr. Hill most recently comes from the InterContinental Chicago where he served as Hotel Manager since 2002. Prior to that, he served as Executive Assistant Manager at the Willard InterContinental in Washington D.C., and an Operations Analyst at InterContinental Hotels Group Americas Headquarters office in Atlanta. Mr. Hill has also held positions at InterContinental properties in Miami, Maui and London. He is a native of Limerick, Ireland and graduated from the prestigious Shannon College of Hotel Management.
