SPARKS, NV, June 19, 2006. In their fourth year at HITEC, TeleAdapt will display the expanding DeskHub(R) line of guestroom connectivity products for Internet access. Adding the PowerHubTM line of power and data modules and the MediaHubTM audio/ video connection hub, TeleAdapt continues the quest for complete guestroom connectivity.
With installations in over one million guestrooms in the world's premier hotels and resorts, the DeskHub(R) product line addresses the laptop user's expectation of a simple and reliable high-speed Internet connection while providing added value to the property's broadband investment.
The technical advances in the DeskHub(R) line include the release of the DeskPointTM which provides simultaneously wired and wireless access to wired networks and the DeskBridgeTM G access point which provides retractable wired access to wireless networks, now supporting 802.11 b/g.
With a stylish update to the original DeskHub(R) line, the DeskSpool(R) and Pull-Through Access PointTM now offer updated models. The DeskSpoolTM Pro gives a more contemporary look to the classic retractable spool that has been TeleAdapt's signature mark to guest connectivity.
The Pull-ThroughTM Pro offers a simpler installation and features a weighted suction cup base to keep the cable in place during operation. The new Pro models have a sleek, low profile dome design in brushed silver with black accents, complementing trendy guestroom design.
A new product group offering is the PowerHubTM line, a variety of on-, in- and under-desk power and data modules that offer guests a place to plug-in without unplugging the guestroom equipment.
The centerpiece of the HITEC display is the new MediaHubTM. The guest-friendly, audio/video connection hub provides guests with a host of in-room entertainment options. The MediaHubTM allows guests to connect their personal media devices such as laptops, iPods, MP3 or DVD players, video cameras and portable game systems to the In-Room Entertainment System, TV or stereo, making the most of the in-room electronics amenity.
The MediaHubTM and the AnyFillTM rapid mobile phone battery charger are also on display at the HFTP Guestroom 2010 pavilion.
In addition to the DeskHub(R) line for hospitality, TeleAdapt offers its Mobile ProTM line of personal entertainment electronics and computer accessories for in-room resale.
