E-site Marketing Releases Latest Version of RSS Enabled Website Content Management Tool

. October 14, 2008

BETHESDA, MD, June 20, 2006. E-site Marketing, a leading hospitality Internet marketing company, released their latest version of their Website Content Management Tool (CMT) leveraging RSS technology to facilitate content syndication beyond the hotel Website. E-site has harnessed the content syndication opportunities created by RSS technology to position their Website Content Management Tool not only as a simple way to keep a hotel's Website content current but also to allow for this same content to be distributed to other affiliated Websites or directly to consumers who have subscribed to the Website's RSS feeds.

The E-site Marketing Content Management Tool application is a proprietary online tool that allows a Website editor to maintain one or many Websites utilizing a simple user interface. The tool is available both as a full Website management tool or can be implemented to manage only the Website sections that are to be RSS enabled. The onward content distribution capabilities are created by an RSS Content Repository that E-site Marketing has developed that can be connected to by affiliate Websites.

According to Felix Laboy, president and chief executive officer of E-site Marketing, "In addition to the direct marketing implications of this new technology we are seeing significant impacts on Search Engine Rankings - Google, Yahoo! and MSN are all putting a lot of weight on Website content that has been formatted for RSS."

The new functionality built into the CMT renders the newly added content (i.e. special offers, promotions, packages, events or news releases) to the Website into an RSS format before publishing it to the page. This RSS formatting allows the Website to offer the content to Website visitors as a feed to which they can subscribe via feed readers such as MyYahoo!, MyAOL, Google Homepage or NewsGator.

Essentially, a hotel can notify subscribers directly, without having to rely on e-mail, that new content with the most recent packages, special offers or events at their favorite property or destination has been added to their Website. An additional opportunity created by this content format is the ability for other Websites to syndicate and aggregate the same content while at the same time reaching a much wider online audience.

"By adding this new RSS functionality to our Content Management Tool, we have capitalized on the concept of publish once, distribute to many," added Robert Dawson, chief technology officer at E-site Marketing. "Our hotel customers can now make the CMT their central content management hub - a huge step forward both in reach and content parity."
