Denihan Hospitality Group Announces New Appointments to Financial Services Team
Thomas A. Felderman Named Vice President of Finance
NEW YORK, NY, June 22, 2006. The Denihan Hospitality Group (DHG), owner and operator of Affinia Hotels and The Benjamin, has appointed Thomas A. Felderman as Vice President of Finance and Julie Drazan as Group Controller.
In his position as Vice President of Finance, Felderman will manage the financial services group and will focus on increasing efficiency within the department and enhancing its forecasting, budgeting and reporting capabilities through the implementation of additional technologies and tools. He will also lead the restructuring of the financial services group, including overseeing the recruitment of experienced personnel. Additionally, he will work closely with corporate operations and development in overseeing the day-to-day operations and growth of DHG and its portfolio.
A 24-year veteran of the hospitality industry, Felderman was most recently the Executive Director of Operations Accounting for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts where he oversaw the financial operations and reporting of 24 hotels. He was also responsible for the transitioning of two hotels to the brand. Prior to Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Felderman was Regional Controller and Director of Finance at The Plaza Hotel in New York for over five years and also spent 10 years with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts as Controller for three different properties. Felderman is a graduate of Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration.
As Group Controller, Drazan brings extensive hotel financial services experience to the Denihan Hospitality Group. She will manage the financial operations for five hotels in the DHG portfolio. Prior to joining DHG, Drazan spent over three years as Assistant Controller at the Essex House Hotel - A Westin and St. Regis Club - in New York, where she helped direct daily financial operations and reporting. Drazan's previous experience includes eight years with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, serving in various capacities, including Regional Operations Accounting Manager for Wyndham International, where she supervised the centralized accounting function for 18 hotels. Drazan is a graduate of California State University in Long Beach.
