Best Western New Englander Sponsors Snow Leopard at STone Zoo

WOBURN / BOSTON, MA, June 27 2006. During the grand opening celebration of the Best Western New Englander, the hotel announced their sponsorship of the Snow Leopard Exhibit at Zoo New England's, Stone Zoo located three miles from the hotel at 149 Pond Street in Stoneham, Massachusetts. The sponsorship will support the Stone Zoo's snow leopard program. In addition to the Snow Leopard Exhibit at Stone Zoo, Zoo New England supports the Snow Leopard Trust, an effort that works towards saving an endangered species and its habitat.

The Best Western New Englander has adopted the zoo's only snow leopards, a male and female, as the official mascots of the property. As part of the adoption, hotel employees, from housekeepers to the general manager, will clean and help care for the animals at the zoo. The hotel will offer room and zoo packages that include discounted rates and four tickets to the zoo. Snow leopard gifts will also be sold at the front desk with proceeds benefiting Zoo New England, owners of Franklin Park Zoo and Stone Zoo.
