Newport Marriott Opens New Spa
MAY 28, 2009 The Newport Marriott has opened a 4,500 square foot spa, adding a new level of service to the landmark waterfront hotel's numerous amenities. Overlooking the busy marina, the Spa at Newport Marriott offers a peaceful oasis, with eight treatment rooms, a private relaxation lounge, and a full-service hair and nail salon.
"This Spa is the largest facility of its kind in downtown Newport, which allows our experienced staff to provide a wide variety of personalized treatments and scheduling options," said Spa Director Tasha Williams. "In keeping with our beautiful seaside location, we incorporate marine and aromatherapy based products throughout our services, for soothing and rejuvenating results."
Eight different massage options include the comforting Massage Medley (which combines Swedish and deep tissue techniques), the Cliff Walk Foot Ritual (designed to follow a day of sightseeing on Newport's 3.5 mile coastal trail), the Stone Therapy Massage (with heated riverbed stones and warm oil), and the Mother-to-Be Massage (using specially designed pillows for comforting support).
Four facial treatments -- the Hydrating Facial, Anti-Aging and Firming Facial, Deep Cleansing Facial, and Customized Gentlemen's Facial -- help turn back the clock. Customized masks are also available to hydrate and tone the delicate eye area.
Body Treatments, such as the Bayside Sea Scrub (with coconut essential oils and pure sugar cane) and the Herbal Sea Salt Scrub (featuring peppermint and rosemary), exfoliate dead cells, revealing smooth and supple skin all over the body.
