New Singer Island Resort to Open
WHITE PLAINS, NY, December 20, 2006. Overlooking one of the broadest white sand beaches on the Atlantic Coast, The Resort at Singer Island gives meeting and event planners a new contemporary venue option in Palm Beach County. With an expected early 2007 opening, on the primarily residential Singer Island, this fabulous beachfront resort launches an entirely new South Florida destination. The Resort at Singer Island is part of Starwood Hotels & Resort Worldwide, Inc.s Luxury Collection.
The $210 million, 21-story project is the first new resort to be built on Singer Island in the past 20 years. Flexible meeting rooms at the five-star caliber new resort offer a total of 4,000 square feet of indoor function space with an adjoining 2,500 square foot poolside and oceanfront terrace, including a romantic wedding gazebo. Event space is enhanced by 239 all-suite guest rooms ranging from 800 to 2,100 square feet in one and two bedroom configurations, featuring full kitchens and high tech workspaces. The Resort at Singer Islands special features and amenities will be complimented by the Luxury Collection commitment to outstanding service.

The resorts seven different meeting rooms also adjoin the Oceanfront Terrace, providing an indoor/outdoor option for events.
Each of the all-suite resorts one and two bedroom accommodations will feature fully equipped kitchens, spacious marble bathrooms, stylish yet comfortable living spaces, Luxury Collection bedding, a Bose DVD/CD system, flat screen TVs, work desks with high speed connectivity, dual-line phones and the resorts signature expansive balconies.
All guest and meeting rooms will offer both WiFi and wired ethernet broadband connections. Each meeting rooms broadband network will be supported by 3 MB of bandwidth. Custom network configurations including VLAN set-ups, dedicated bandwidth and QoS are available. The Resort at Singer Island will have qualified IT professionals to assist with all technical requirements, pre-event consultations and on-site support.

Executive Chef Carlos Jorge whose background includes stints at the Raleigh Hotel in Miami Beach, Butter Restaurant and The Mercer Kitchen in New York City heads up a catering department that will enhance meetings, banquets and special events with imaginative cuisine.
