Holiday Inn Express Opens in Nashville
New hotel is fifth Holiday Inn Express in Nashville to feature brand's new sign
JUNE 11, 2009 - IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) [LON: IHG, NYSE: IHG] announced that the Holiday Inn Express and Suites Nashville-Opryland is expected to open Friday, June 12. This newly constructed hotel will be the fifth Holiday Inn Express to open in the Nashville area with the brand's new sign, which is the seal of approval that they exemplify the standards of the $1 billion Holiday Inn brand relaunch program.
The 113-room hotel is ideally located at the intersection of state Highway 155 (Briley Parkway) and McGavock Pike directly across the street from the entrance to the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. The hotel is just a short 10 minute drive from the Nashville International Airport and 15 minutes from downtown Nashville. Notable nearby attractions and businesses include Opry Mills Mall, Bass Pro-Shop, Grand Old Opry, Country Music Hall of Fame, Ryman Auditorium, Vanderbilt University, and Sommet Center.
Guests at the Holiday Inn Express will experience a comfortable and smart environment with innovative preferred guest upgrades to ensure a productive stay while travelling for business or leisure. First announced in 2007, the program was established to create a more contemporary brand image as part of the drive to increase quality and consistency across the global portfolio. The program focuses on arrival and welcome services, guestroom and guest bath comfort. The global estate of more than 3,200 Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express properties is expected to be relaunched by the end of 2010.
