JULY 22, 2009 - The center of Nanjing is even more attractive now as GreenTree Inn's third chain hotel recently opened officially.

The newly opened Nanjing Gulou Chain Hotel is located in the Machanism Building at 49 N. Zhongshan Rd. in Nanjing, adjacent to the Nanjing Greenland Financial Center, a prime area of economic and financial activity. The hotel is close to the government offices of the Jiangsu Province and Beijing West Road. There are some famous attractions and institutions nearby, such as the Hunan Road Business Circle, the Lion Bridge Food Court, the Jiangsu Television Station, Nanjing University and Nanjing Normal University. There are shopping malls, supermarket, restaurants, entertainment spots and bars nearby. The other two GreenTree Inns in Nanjing are in the Cao Chang Men Shopping and Living Area and in the East Surburbs on Yu Dao Street.

According to the person in charge of the Development Department, there was a market bubble at the beginning of 2009 and property costs were falsely high. GreenTree avoid the risk of inflated prices and chose to buy property after the prices were lower again. Even though we are currently in a recession, GreenTree is still accelerating their development while other companies are not. By the end of this year, GreenTree has reached more than half of its goal to build 500 hotels, among which the locations are important business cities.
