MEADOWS OF DAN, VA - September 15, 2009 - The magnificent new 72,000 square foot Lodge at Primland, the exciting sporting getaway in southern Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains, is now open for business with rooms and suites available to those who enjoy the height of luxury.

Perched atop one of the highest ridges of the 12,000-acre resort, the Lodge is located adjacent to The Highland Course, designed by renowned links course golf architect Donald Steel. The approach to the Lodge takes guests past the greens, fairways and tees of holes 10, 11 and 18, as well as the practice putting green.

The Highland Course - named as one of America's best new courses by Travel and Leisure Golf in 2007; best new public course ($75 and over) by Golf Digest in 2008; and one of the best new resorts by Golfweek - began its fourth season in May this year.

"The Lodge is the showpiece centerpiece of the property with its many unique features and variety of facilities on offer for relaxation and enjoyment, ranging from the spa and ballroom to fine and casual dining and an observatory that brings the mountains closer to the stars," said Brooks Bradbury, General Manager.

Another lodging alternative are the three fairway cottages, each consisting of two guest suites and kitchen facilities, adjacent to the Lodge, which blend into the landscape. Rooms feature unique quality furnishings and finishes. Vaulted wood ceilings, exposed beams and stone fireplaces are the signature features of the cottages.

Constructed with natural indigenous materials, The Lodge and cottages have been designed to reflect the architectural style of historic structures in the Virginia Mountains.

The Lodge's 26 quality guest rooms feature nine different floor plans with a mixture of kings, queen and double queen suites - all with exceptional views.

The ultimate accommodation is The Pinnacles Suite, which has 1,800 square foot of space and is located directly below the silo-designed Observatory, providing stunning views of the stars.

Other options range from six Piedmont rooms with 518 plus square footage; six Mountain Suites with 600 to 800 square footage; to 13 Blue Ridge Suites with 900 to 1,125 square footage. Of the 26 rooms and suites, there are 14 king-bedded and 12 double queen-bedded accommodations.

Lodge amenities include a spa, an indoor pool, fitness center, recreation area, a ballroom, golf shop, locker rooms, a fully outfitted board room, meeting facilities, theater and indoor parking.

The intimate dining room called Elements, capable of catering to 72 guests, will offer new American cuisine with a focus on local ingredients and produce.

The pub, The 19th, is perfectly situated overlooking the 18th green and 10th tee and is an ideal stop for meals and beverages either mid-round or afterwards. The Great Room also provides distant views, matching fireplaces and is in close proximity to the two-story glass-walled wine room.

The lodge is owned by Primwest Holdings, a Switzerland company, owned by the Primat Family.
