Nine Benchmark Properties Achieve Four Diamond Status

. October 01, 2009

HOUSTON, TX, September 30, 2009 - Benchmark Hospitality International has announced that nine properties in its growing portfolio have achieved Four Diamond status for 2009. Greg Champion, chief operating officer, made the announcement.

"The Four Diamond recognition is a tribute to the management teams at each of the nine properties, who have worked diligently to achieve this prestigious endorsement in 2009," said Mr. Champion. "It is an honor to earn this award and the recognition of the highest quality service and facilities at each property. Several have maintained their Four Diamond status over multiple years and we applaud them!"

The Diamond Rating System is one of the most respected in the lodging and restaurant industries. Earning a Four Diamond rating means that a hotel or restaurant has undergone and successfully passed a rigorous evaluation process. Of the approximately 58,000 lodging and restaurant facilities evaluated by the American Automobile Association, which distributes the awards, only 3.4 percent earned a Four Diamond rating for 2009.
