Sage to Manage Atlanta's Glenn Hotel
Legacy Partners taps into Sage Hospitality's nationally management expertise
October 30, 2009 - Sage Hospitality, a nationally recognized leader in hotel development and management, today announced that it would manage the 110-room Glenn Hotel, starting October 1. A national historic landmark and former office building, the Glenn was elegantly restored and opened as Atlanta's first boutique hotel in 2006. Conveniently located in the Luckie Marietta District, the Glenn is at the epicenter of the city's most famous attractions. Noted for its savvy ambience that combines urban sophistication, historic charm and Southern hospitality, the Glenn offers guests the quintessential Atlanta experience. The property marks the third hotel in Sage's growing portfolio in the Atlanta area and its strong commitment to the market.
“The Glenn is a very special hotel—it has high style, personality, invested ownership and is in the heart of Atlanta's hot spot --where everyone wants to go and be”, said Sage President and CEO Walter Isenberg. “But it can be an even greater hotel and Sage has the track record, the resources and the team to make that happen. Sage has successfully engineered the repositioning of hotel properties around the country to maximize their performance and ensure the highest guest satisfaction. And, even in these challenging economic times, 70% of our hotels have outperformed their competition in RevPAR thus far this year.”
The Glenn offers 93 guest rooms, 16 suites, a penthouse suite and five distinctive meeting venues. Thoughtful and fashion forward accents blend seamlessly with the historic integrity of the hotel which features high-end finishes, locally quarried Georgia marble, heart pine floors and traditional southern inspired furnishings with a contemporary twist.
Acclaimed Atlanta- based Concentrics Restaurants operates the Glenn's on- site restaurant, 30 Tables, showcasing a farm to table concept featuring seasonal ingredients and Southern cuisine. No Atlanta experience is complete without a visit to the hotel's rooftop nightspot, 11 Stories, where guests can be inspired by breathtaking views of the city's skyline, signature libations and tempting small bites.
Guests at the Glenn will enjoy the urban energy and excitement of exploring the hotel's neighborhood, Atlanta's Luckie Marietta District, a pedestrian friendly city center that is home to an eclectic collection of specialty restaurants, family destinations and four world-class attractions including the Georgia Aquarium, CNN Center, Georgia World Congress Center/Georgia Dome and Centennial Olympic Park.
