Fairmont Appoints Michelle Bertram Director of Operations Sonoma Mission Inn
NOVEMBER 5, 2009 - Michelle Bertram has recently been promoted to Director of Operations at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn, Fairmont's iconic Wine Country Resort. Bringing over ten years of hospitality experience to the position, she launched her career with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in 1998 as participant in the company's Leadership Development Program. Upon successful completion (1999) of that program, Michelle was appointed Employment Manager before being promoted to Assistant Director, Human Resources at the Fairmont San Francisco in 2000. Michelle joined Mandarin Oriental, San Francisco in 2005 as Director, Human Resources and in 2006 she returned to Fairmont in her most recent post as Director, Human Resources at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa.
Michelle holds a Master of Science in Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco, California in addition to her Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Management from Cornell University, New York.
Bertram is a member of the Hotel & Restaurant Advisory Board, San Francisco State University; Hotel and Restaurant Foundation Scholarship Committee; and Cornell University Alumni Admissions Ambassador Network; and Cornell University Hotel Society.
