Villa Group Names New F&B Director
SAN DIEGO, CA, January 9, 2007. The Villa Group has announced the appointment of Stefano Silvestri to the position of Regional Director of Food & Beverage for its trio of oceanfront properties in Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico. Silvestri will be responsible for all food and beverage operations for Villa del Palmar in Puerto Vallarta, Villa del Palmar Flamingos Nuevo Vallarta and Villa La Estancia Nuevo Vallarta, which is scheduled to open in spring 2007.
Silvestri most recently served as Vice President of Food & Beverage for Group Hotelier Grand Chateau in Quebec, Canada, where he oversaw food and beverage operations for three hotels and a golf country club. Prior to that, Silvestri was Director of Operations for Food & Beverage, Sports Excursions at Casa De Campo in La Romana, Dominican Republic.

Based at Villa del Palmar Flamingos, Silvestri will take over responsibilities at Villa del Palmar Flamingos' European-style Bellavista Restaurant & Bar, the oceanfront La Trattoria, and both the Pizza Bar and Lobby Bar. Two additional restaurants will open during 2007 at the adjacent Villa La Estancia Nuevo Vallarta.
He will also oversee operations at Villa del Palmar Puerto Vallarta's open-air La Cucina, family-style Jalisco and casual Los Equilpales sport bar.
Silvestri received Bachelors of Business Administration and Masters of Business Administration degrees from Knightsbridge University in London, England. He attended a series of special management and personal development programs at Cornell University, where he is a member of the Cornell Hotel Alumni Association. Silvestri is also a member of the Hotel & Catering International Management Association.
