GVB to Showcase Guam at 2010 Asia Dive Expo in Singapore

. March 24, 2010

Tumon, Guam - March 24, 2010 - Guam Visitors Bureau is scheduled to attend the Asia Dive Expo (ADEX), Asia's largest and longest running scuba diving exhibition, from April 9 - 11, 2010 in Singapore.

The event focuses on promoting scuba diving destinations around the world and scuba diving products. The expo also aims to provide exposure on how divers can be eco-conscious and how the public can do their part to preserve the natural habitat of the underwater world.

This year marks the third consecutive time GVB has participated in ADEX. In 2009, more than 14,000 consumers visited the three-day expo. Additionally, more than 100 exhibitors, including 70 international vendors, represented more than 20 countries. The event solidifies the role of ADEX as the regional dive industry's No. 1 meeting place and marketplace.

“ADEX is an opportunity for GVB to showcase Guam's explicit dive points and variety of dive services available,” said GVB Deputy General Manager Ernie A. Galito. “Guam is blessed with many amazing dive sites that truly captivate the interest of overseas visitors. As an organization, we're dedicated to not only highlight Guam as a tropical island destination rich in culture and history, but also as a site for world-class diving. “

Representatives from GVB will focus on educating dive and adventure travel agents about Guam's unique dive environment and well-developed dive industry.
