Northcott Appoints Two to Board of Directors
April 9, 2010 - Northcott Hospitality, an expanding hotel and restaurant company, today announced the appointment of two industry leaders to its board of directors.
The new board members are Tarun Patel, President of Pacific Hospitality Company and Roz Mallet, President and CEO of PhaseNext Hospitality and former President and CEO of Caribou Coffee and COO of la Madeleine, Bakery Cafe. (Access photos at following link: Northcott Photos)

The Northcott brands include AmericInn®, a national midscale hotel company with 218 locations in 27 states plus Perkins® family restaurants, operating in 21 locations, and four Houlihan's® casual restaurants.
“As Northcott celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, we are excited to build on this rich legacy of success by launching a new strategy aimed at growing our brands nationwide,” Kirwin stated. “We anticipate that the extensive hotel and restaurant industry expertise offered by Tarun and Roz will be an important asset in this pursuit,” he added.
Tarun Patel Background
Tarun is the President of Pacific Hospitality Company, a family-owned, full-service real estate services company specializing in management, development and investments in the hospitality industry. He is also a Principal in Penta Hospitality, a hotel development and management company located in San Jose, California. In addition he serves as the current chairman and director at large of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association, a key hotel industry advocacy organization.
Roz Mallet Background
Mallet has served in a variety of senior leadership roles in the restaurant industry including President and CEO of Caribou Coffee, COO of la Madeleine Bakery Cafe and Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Carlson Companies. Her experience includes enterprise strategy, turn arounds, systems implementation and franchise operations. Roz is currently the Treasurer of the Board of Directors for the National Restaurant Association.
