Industry leader to oversee newest Destination Hotels & Resorts property in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA - October 20, 2010 - David Hall has been named general manager of Paradise Point Resort & Spa, the newest addition to Destination Hotels & Resorts' collection of luxury properties in Southern California. With more than 20 years of hospitality experience, Hall will oversee the 44-acre private island resort located in San Diego. “Paradise Point holds a warm place in the hearts of so many. I am proud to be part of this San Diego treasure. I look forward to enriching the legacy of this great resort over the next several years,” Hall said.
The industry leader most recently worked as general manager at InterContinental Chicago O'Hare, where he played a key role in the debut of the $200 million, 556-room development. Hall played an integral role in designing and directing plans for the property's expansive art gallery, three restaurants and live entertainment venue. Under Hall's management, the hotel was ranked second in customer service of InterContinental North America during its first year of business.

Named “Hotelier of the Year” by the Georgia Hospitality and Travel Association in 2001, he has also served on the Board of Directors for both the Chicago and Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureaus. “David has a proven track record in helping properties successfully build a creative and inspirational vision for long-term success,” said Michael J. Slosser, Vice President & Managing Director for Destination Hotels & Resorts. “Paradise Point brings a fresh and diverse personality to our Southern California Collection, and David's expertise will empower the resort to evolve into the iconic and respected property Destination Hotels & Resorts is recognized for.”
