Stephen Hinck Promoted to Resident Manager Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort

October 27, 2010 - Stephen Hinck has been appointed resident manager of Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, returning to the 1,310-room resort where he previously served as food and beverage director from 2005 to 2008.

“With more than 25 years of hotel experience, I am confident in Stephen's ability to conduct the day to day hotel operations and associate relations all to ensure Marriott's high guest standards are carried out daily,” said Michael Nisky, general manager of Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. “He is deserving of this promotion.”

Most recently, Hinck served as director of operations at the 555-room Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island. He served on the team that helped to relaunch both Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resorts & Spa and Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa after both multi-million dollar renovations were completed in 2008. He was also part of the hotel opening team of the luxurious JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa in 1993.

Hinck received a Bachelor of Arts degree in hotel management from Washington State University. He resides in Honolulu with his wife and two children.
