Schelby Betz Named GM at Residence Inn by Marriott in Golden, CO
November 29, 2010 - A member of the White Lodging team since 2005, Schelby Betz was recently promoted to the position of General Manager at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Golden, Colorado.

"I am thrilled about this promotion for Schelby because, with her sales and operational experience, there is no doubt she will take this hotel to the next level."
Betz graduated from Colorado State University and started her career as a Guest Service Representative at White Lodging's Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott property in the Cherry Creek area of Denver. From there, the company promoted Betz to Sales Manager and then Director of Sales at the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott in Key West. During her time in Key West, she garnered the White Lodging Sales Leader of the Year award.
Most recently, Betz served as Sales Manager at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Westminster, Colorado where, for the past two years, she successfully increased the hotel's market share.
As Betz commented, "Throughout my years with White Lodging, I have worked hard to produce results, motivate teams and impress guests. The company has been the backbone to my success, and I can't thank them enough."
Betz continued by sharing that she is eager to transition into the General Manager position and she is optimistic for the future. "I have learned so much from those around me, and I look forward to using this education, culture and motivation as I move forward."
