Denver's Curtis Hotel Associate Honored with Hilton Spirit of CARE Award
December 14, 2010 - The Curtis, a Doubletree Hotel, is pleased to announce that reservation agent Corey Scramstad has been honored with a Spirit of CARE Award from Hilton Worldwide.
Doubletree Hotels, which has 50,000 employees and more than 230 hotels worldwide, recognizes less than 100 employees a year with this honor.
Scramstad, who has worked at the Curtis for less than six months, was nominated for the award by her peers after proving to be an exceptional role model in resolving a crisis under pressure.
“We are very proud of Corey and her recognition as a Spirit of CARE Award winner, the company's most prestigious team member award,” said Curtis General Manager Kim Corrigan. “Employees like Scramstad create a welcoming and exceptional experience for guests, which impacts other team members and creates a domino effect of great service.”
As a recipient of the award, Scramstad will receive a cash prize, two one-night stay certificates at any Doubletree brand property, a plaque, a lapel pin and other special recognition.
Managed by Denver-based Sage Hospitality Resources, the 336-room Curtis features a state-of-the-art fitness center, a business center, complimentary wireless Internet throughout and 20,805 square feet of meeting space. This contemporary boutique hotel is located in the heart of downtown Denver, across the street from the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.
