Nominations Sought for Distinguished Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame
AUSTIN, TEXAS, USA - February 23, 2011 - For two decades Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) has honored innovative individuals behind technology-driven developments in the hospitality industry with the International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame. The association continues this tradition by accepting nominations for the 2011 honoree. The newest inductee will be recognized at the Tuesday general session of HITEC 2011 (Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference®) on June 21 in Austin, Texas.
Applications are available on the HFTP web site, with nominations due to the HFTP office by April 18. The 2011 honoree will be selected by a distinguished panel of technology experts and HFTP leaders.
"In the face of this dynamic and challenging environment, I continue to be impressed by the quality of the new inductees and the contributions they demonstrate through their leadership and creative contributions,” said Cindy Estis Green, a 2009 inductee, co-chair of the HITEC Advisory Council and CEO of The Estis Group.
To keep up with expectations and in recognition of the visionaries who develop these instruments and their impact on the hospitality industry, HFTP established the International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame, the association's highest level of recognition in the area of technology. Since 1989, 32 individuals have been selected by their peers as representing the best in innovation and application and as leaders in their profession.
