BOCA RATON, FL, September 6, 2006. Agilysys, Inc., (NASDAQ: AGYS) a leading provider of enterprise computer solutions and hospitality software solutions, announced today the luxury, five-star Beverly Hills Hotel has selected their Materials Management System (MMS), an inventory and procurement solution, to streamline operations, reduce costs and improve the hotel's financial controls.

The hotel, known for its caring and welcoming staff who offers the sophisticated traveler flawless service, was looking to have a better handle on its inventory and purchasing process. At the height of the resort's busy season, the location employs 450 staff, servicing 204 rooms.

"Our commitment to excellent customer service means we required the right IT tools in place to maintain a perpetual inventory for our guests' needs," said Dan Flores, director of IT, The Beverly Hills Hotel. "MMS helps us eliminate paperwork, enables us to have a current accounting of items in stock and automatically orders and replenishes items based on our par levels. What took us one week has been reduced to a couple days."

Another byproduct of the MMS solution is the insightful reporting functions. "Reports provided by MMS increase the visibility of potential issues that may arise and trigger controls to assist our management in making timely decisions," said Todd Labhart, controller, The Beverly Hills Hotel.

In addition to the MMS Inventory Module and the MMS Purchasing Module, the property also invested in the MMS Menu/Recipe Analysis Module and the MMS Bar Coding Module. Both were purchased to track costs, but each offers the property different capabilities to do so.

"Having the ability to track costs down to a single plate will help us guide food services to create recipes and menus that maximize our revenue," said Labhart. "The MMS Bar Code Module will provide us with wireless data collection of our physical inventory. With a swipe of a scanner, data goes directly into our system, reducing errors, labor costs and shrink."

"The MMS solution will enable The Beverly Hills Hotel to streamline operations through accurate inventory and purchasing strategies," said Tina Stehle, vice president and general manager, Agilysys ESG. "By incorporating MMS into their business, the property can expect to conserve resources, lower costs and maximize return on investment."
