Sheraton Tarrytown Opens
JANUARY 29, 2007. Hotel's Classic Park-Like Design and Sheraton's Comforting Amenities are the Perfect Match for Charming and Historic Tarrytown, New York Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.(R) and New Castle Hotels & Resorts together announce the official opening of The Sheraton(R) Tarrytown, the official prototype for Sheraton's new cutting-edge hotel design. The 150-room Sheraton Tarrytown celebrated its opening with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting on January 25, 2007. Co-developed by New Castle, leading hotel manager and developer located in Shelton, Connecticut and Widewaters Group, the Sheraton Tarrytown will be managed by New Castle under a long-term management agreement.
Highlights of the Sheraton Tarrytown include a warm, energetic lobby, 19th century American park design, and soothing, sophisticated d'ecor. The hotel's signature courtyard, cobblestone walk-ways, black iron fencing, and impressive port-coch`ere awning are complemented by a classic interior design, which includes mahogany furniture, suede wall coverings, leather furnishings and dramatic lighting.

The Sheraton Tarrytown boasts the new Sheraton guest room, featuring a traditional "Ralph Lauren-like" design with rich jewel-tone colors, mahogany desk and the signature Sheraton Sweet Sleepersm Bed, a nine-layered custom-designed ensemble including an exquisitely comfortable, plush mattress, fluffy down hypoallergenic pillows, crisp cotton sheets, cozy blanket and signature blanket and duvet. Rooms also include an expansive work area with commanding views and high speed Internet access to maximize productivity and comfort.
Other amenities include a full-service restaurant, Basil's, and bar, a club level and lounge, and a health club with heated indoor swimming pool and whirlpool. Additionally, the hotel's express check-in kiosk allows guests to check in or out in less than one minute.
Located at 600 White Plains Road in historic Tarrytown, New York, the Sheraton Tarrytown is just 25 minutes outside of New York City.
