India's First Transit Hotel, Eaton Smart, Now Open
June 14, 2011 - Langham Hospitality Group has announced Eaton Smart, New Delhi Airport- India's first transit hotel - is now officially open with rates from 3,000INR (approx US$65) per five hour stay.
The midscale Eaton Smart is one of three Eaton hospitality brands which include the upscale Eaton Luxe and the extended stay Eaton House product which balance functionality with high levels of comfort and service. All Eaton properties share a similar design philosophy: smart, modern, and uncomplicated. Each hotel is also given a sense of place with accents from the local surroundings so every property will also present the spirit of its location.
The 93-room Eaton Smart, New Delhi Airport Transit Hotel is located inside Terminal 3 of the new airport building and is designed to make unpleasant layovers a thing of the past with its intelligent modern design and comfortable facilities, convenient services.
Passengers with valid tickets are able to check in into the 36-room domestic wing or into the 57-room wing in the international terminal after customs controls. The property offers modern rooms for a minimum of five hour slots allowing guests to relax before and after a flight. In addition to guestrooms, guests are able to reserve the Aqua Pods in which to freshen up while allowing access to the hotel's services and facilities.
Services include the Essentials Spa concept that offers a range of treatments for pre and post flight pampering to alleviate jetlag or head and foot massages. A fully-equipped gymnasium allows guests to work out and energise.
Eaton Smart, New Delhi Airport Transit Hotel aims to make mass-produced, bland airport cuisine a distant memory. The property features a high quality all-day cafe dining restaurant serving freshly-prepared international comfort foods and local culinary favourites.
