Tucson's Westward Look Resort Wins State, National Industry Awards

Commendable guest relations win Tucson resort AH&LA Stars of the Industry Awards

. June 23, 2011

Tucson, AZ - June 22, 2011 - Westward Look Resort is known as the “Soul of the Southwest” not just because it combines historic Southwest charm with modern luxury, but also because of the warm Southwestern hospitality that infuses every guest interaction. It is this desire to accommodate each guest's needs and the effectiveness in resolving any unexpected issues that may arise that has earned the Westward Look both state and national recognition from the American Hotel & Lodging Association. The AH&LA awarded Westward Look the Stars of the Industry Award for Guest Relations, Large Property, during their Summer Summit awards luncheon on June 15 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.

“We are incredibly honored to have received both state and national recognition for our guest services from the American Hotel & Lodging Association,” said Westward Look Resort General Manager Craig Waterman. “From the moment our guests call to book a reservation for their first visit, we want them to feel welcome, comfortable and completely at ease. That's what they can expect during their first stay, and every return visit to follow,” added Waterman.

The AH&LA Stars of the Industry awards program has been recognizing outstanding accomplishments in the lodging industry for more than 40 years, honoring lodging properties and staff that best symbolize quality service. The Arizona Hotel & Lodging Association, an AH&LA partner state association, also recognized Westward Look on the local level.

A long-standing resort and vacation venue in Tucson, the 80-acre Westward Look Resort continues its tradition as Tucson's finest resort with the addition of this latest honor. This year alone, Westward Look has earned the AAA Four Diamond Award®, and was recently voted “Tucson's Best” in four categories by AZ Foothills Magazine readers: Best Place to Stay in Tucson; Best Spa, The Sonoran Spa; Best Resort Pool; and Best Lobby Bar, Lookout Bar & Grille.
