Mumford Company Sells 17th Super 8 for Multi-unit Operator
Newport News, VA - June 27, 2010 - The Mumford Company was pleased to once again represent an affiliate of Eastern Lodging, Inc. in the sale of the Super 8 Motel of Hampton, Virginia to a local owner/operator group, Krish Aashi, LLC.
This is the 17th property that Mumford Company has sold on behalf of affiliates of Eastern Lodging and is part of an on-going, multi-unit disposition program that Mumford Company is executing for the sellers.
The 66 room property is located adjacent to Interstate 64 and its' local demand generators include Langley Air Force Base, NASA Langley Research Center, Hampton University, the Hampton Coliseum and the Hampton Roads Convention Center. The purchasers plan to make cosmetic renovations to the hotel and retain the Super 8 franchise affiliation. This is the second hotel that the purchasers have acquired through Mumford Company in the past year.
