Tropicana Opens Cielo Luxury Suites

. July 01, 2011

June 30, 2011 - Tropicana Casino & Resort, already the name synonymous with luxury in Atlantic City, is introducing top players to true pampering with the premier of the Cielo Suites. The name Cielo, Spanish for heaven or sky, was chosen to complement Tropicana's Old Havana theme and upscale Latin style.

"Tropicana has made a significant investment to the tune of $5 million to create exceptional spaces for exceptional players," said Tony Rodio, president and chief executive officer of Tropicana. "We have carefully chosen every superior accent, premium amenity and elegant detail to exceed any expectation our guests may have had. These are some of the most luxurious guest rooms available anywhere on the East Coast."

The Cielo suites greet guests with West Indies tropical decor over varying sizes from 450 to 2,078 square feet. Each suite is special in its own way with well-appointed amenities including wet bars and temperature controlled wine storage, spacious living areas, dining areas, inviting bedrooms, that offer transitional to modern lighting and finishes. Some of the Cielo Suites even feature unique comforts like three bedrooms, saunas, massage tables, gyms, recreation rooms, and home theaters with 60 inch televisions.

The Cielo Suites will also offer an Atlantic Cityfirst: 24-hour concierge service. Located on the 15th floor of the North Tower, the Concierge Room is tucked away for suite guests' use and is the perfect location for socializing and relaxing. The high life continues with 24-hour butler service and a North Tower location most desired to high rollers due to its proximity to the gaming floor. Suite guests will even enjoy exclusive access to Tropicana's high end baccarat area via a private elevator and a Cielo Suite room key

Located on the 14th and 15th floors of Tropicana's North Tower, the 26 Cielo Suites were previously 88 separate guest rooms. Twelve suites are located on the 15th floor and 14 on the 14th floor.

Providing the vision for the Cielo Suites was the talented team of WESTAR Architects: Paul Heretakis, Principal; and Lora Hunsaker, Project Manager. Architect team members include Elizabeth Cohen and Ali Alonzo. Decorator team members include Rudy Hernandez, Sam Aton, and Noli Sarmiento.
