Carlsbad, CA - August 12, 2011 - Opening June 2012, Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort & Spa is destined to become one of north San Diego's premier coastal meeting and event destinations. Owned and operated by Wave Crest Hotels & Resorts, the new resort has a prime location overlooking Carlsbad State Beach and features 25,300 square feet of indoor, outdoor and pre-function meeting space with unparalleled ocean views.

Ideal for any size group, the property's flexible meeting space includes 8,500 square feet of indoor space, 11,800 square feet of outdoor space and 5,000 square feet of pre-function areas ideal for coffee breaks, receptions and exhibit booths. Indoor space is comprised of the 5,700 square foot Shearwater Ballroom which is divisible into five rooms, four meeting rooms (Pelican Watch 1 & 2, Sandpiper, and Surfbird rooms,) and the Osprey conference room. An ocean view garden seats 500 guests outdoors for lunch or dinner. For more intimate gatherings, the Private Dining Room at the hotel's Chandler's restaurant offers an ocean view, outdoor, covered terrace which can accommodate up to 40 people.
