Destination Hotels Appoints Jason Gold VP Hospitality Investments
Englewood, CO - August 23, 2011 - Destination Hotels & Resorts, the third largest independent hospitality management company in the United States, announces the appointment of Jason Gold as vice president of hospitality investments. Mr. Gold will work with the Lowe Hospitality Group and Destination Hotels & Resorts hospitality investments team to source upscale urban and resort acquisitions and management contracts in order to further the growth and development of Destination Hotels & Resorts distinctive portfolio. As vice president of hospitality investments, Jason will develop and expand upon existing relationships with capital partners to fund prospective acquisitions and oversee transaction underwriting and due diligence.
Prior to joining Destination Hotels & Resorts, Mr. Gold worked for five years as the associate director of acquisitions and development for New York City-based Denihan Hospitality Group, helping to grow their Affinia and James Brands in Chicago, Washington DC and Miami Beach. Mr. Gold was also actively involved in the asset management of Denihan's 14-hotel portfolio.
Previously, Mr. Gold held positions underwriting and closing hotel and residential loans with Lehman Brothers and Trimont Real Estate Advisors. He also spent two years in the New York City Hospitality and Leisure Advisory Practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers where he coordinated and performed the valuation and analyses for individual hotels and portfolios.
He is a graduate of the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Administration and a concentration in Real Estate Finance.
