New Innkeeper at Porches Inn at Mass MoCA, MA
North Adams, MA - September 07, 2011 - Hopscotch Hospitality LLC, the parent company of The Porches Inn at MASS MoCA, announced the appointment of Melahat Karakaya to the position of Innkeeper at The Porches Inn in July. Melahat Karakaya is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the Inn.
Melahat (or Mel) is a native of Turkey. Mel earned her undergraduate degree from Mugla University in Turkey with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Palm Beach Atlantic University with Masters in Business Administration (specializing in International Business). Mel began her hotel career as a Guest Relations Supervisor at the Vega Casino in Marmaris, Turkey, later moving onto Hotel Lidya, the Gran Hotel Faros and The Breakers in West Palm Beach in Florida, where she most recently she worked as the Front Office Manager for the past eight years. She has held management positions in both Guest Relations and Reservations.
