TORONTO - 27 September, 2011 - Global luxury lifestyle brand Nikki Beach and its partner, award-winning cable network AMC welcomed an international A-list including stars, celebrities and film industry elite at its signature style lounge, La Terrasse AMC & Nikki Beach, at the Toronto film festival this year. Situated on the rooftop terrace of the TIFF Bell Lightbox, against the backdrop of the Toronto skyline, film festival bright lights from Bono to Juliette Binoche to Harvey Weinstein gathered at La Terrasse AMC & Nikki Beach to dine, dance and simply relax.

From September 8th to 12th, Nikki Beach was a “must” on the festival social circuit. After the U2 documentary From the Sky Down opened the festival, Bono and the Edge made Nikki Beach their refuge. For Juliette Binoche, star of Elles, it was the ideal venue for in-depth media interviews. For Sarah Polley, it was the perfect scene to celebrate the premiere of her film Take This Waltz with cast members Seth Rogan and Sarah Silverman in attendance. For Kim Cattrall, it was her first lunch on home turf, having just arrived back in town from London to start rehearsals for Private Lives at Royal Alexandra Theatre.

And on Saturday, September 10th, Nikki Beach welcomed a select group of Canada's business, academic and social elite who were invited by The Globe and Mail to hear Editor-in-chief John Stackhouse in conversation with Somalian-Canadian singer K'naan and Bono. Setting the record straight about the crisis in Somalia, the powerful and moving session was followed by a performance by K'naan.

Celebrities also in attendance at Nikki Beach this year included Elizabeth Shue and Davis Guggenheim, Gerard Butler, Bryan Cranston, Clive Owen, Atom Egoyan, Norman Jewison, Toronto Blue Jays, Adrian Grenier, Woody Harrelson and Marjane Satrapi.
