October 15, 2011 - The Miller Motorsports Park is becoming a popular destination despite its remote setting in Tooele County, Utah. Charles “Jack” Giacomini, owner and chairman of Hotel Manager's Group, has released plans to build a Comfort Inn and Suites Hotel in the area. His intention is to provide comfortable accommodations in close proximity to the track for racing fans. The hotel management company Hotel Managers Group is headquartered in San Diego, but has local offices approximately an hour and a half away in Park City.

October 4th is the big day for the company to break ground and they'll be building the new lodgings at 8580 N. Highway 36. The three-story hotel is expected to open in spring of 2012 and will offer guests 69 rooms in 41,000 square feet. Furthermore, it will be situated on a 2.85 acre area and the Hotel Manager's Group is planning to spend about $6 million in construction costs.

JMP Hotels will be the official owner of the new Comfort Inn and the owner of that corporation is personally involved in the racing community. He was frustrated by the lack of accommodations near Miller Motorsports Park, and after reviewing the market of the surrounding area along with the number of fans attending the races, he decided to invest.

The Comfort Inn and suites will be assembled with materials that support sustainable construction and the design will meld with the existing community. Future guests can expect a choice of room reservations, which will include 10 king-bed suites and 16 queen-bed suites offering visitors space and luxury.

With the Salt Lake City International Airport a mere 25 miles from the hotel, the location is ideal for racing spectators. The hotel will also provide new jobs by employing an estimated 40 to 50 people both in construction of the hotel and once the lodgings have opened.

Travelers driving eastward on I-80 heading into Salt Lake City may be tempted to stop at the Comfort Inn for the night. It will be a highly visible hotel providing drivers and racing fans with a restful stay.
