PALM BEACH, FL - February 2, 2012 - The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach is proud to announce the appointment of Tito Rodriguez as executive assistant manager and director of food and beverage. Rodriguez will work to continue the momentum brought on by the transformation of the hotel and addition of Eau Spa. Rodriguez brings with him years of experience in hospitality, solid knowledge of the Ritz-Carlton brand and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences for each of his guests.

Rodriguez began his career in New Orleans with the Fairmont Hotel Group in 1999, starting as banquet manager overseeing events in 70,000 square foot of meeting space and serving dinners for up to 3,500 guests. During this stint, Rodriguez even served as liaison for presidential hopefuls George Bush and Al Gore. His career at Fairmont Hotels continued with responsibilities as restaurant manager and In-Room Dining. Over the course of his career, Rodriguez thrived while working with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company—three properties to be exact. Rodriguez arrived to The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach in 2002, as In-Room Dining manager. Success continued as he worked his way as manager through the Food and Beverage outlets.

While The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach underwent extensive renovations, Tito continued his tour of duty with Ritz-Carlton on task force assignments in St. Louis and Marina Del Rey; staying for two years at Marina Del Rey as assistant director of food and beverage, finally returning to The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach as part of the re-opening team in 2007.

Rodriguez further promoted his career in the rich hospitality environment of Palm Beach County and was tapped as the director of food and beverage for Mizner Country Club where he oversaw all aspects of food and beverage and clubhouse operations. Rodriguez honed his skills as an entrepreneurial food and beverage professional when he moved to the newly opened Omphoy Ocean Resort and was responsible for all hotel food and beverage operations including, celebrity chef Michelle Bernstein's new signature restaurant.

Finally back to his “home” of The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach, armed with vast industry experience and successes, Rodriguez has secured a title of executive assistant manager, and director of food & beverage. “I am extremely honored and excited to be joining The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach team,” said Rodriguez. “I can only hope that we continue to propel the hotel to the top and provide the utmost service that Ritz-Carlton is known for to all of our guests and patrons.”

Rodriguez is also responsible for the Vibe Manager concept at The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach. This savvy new position embodies the new Palm Beach lifestyle, embraced by the hotel. With Stir Bar and Terrace as his hub, the vibe manager will “be the social scene” for fun and festivities in the hotel and community. In his role as vibe manager, Tito brings an array of talents and skills to the oceanfront resort as an experienced sommelier, foodie, and cigar and mixology expert responsible for wine tastings, drink specials and dessert and wine pairings. Rodriguez will create an inviting ambiance of mingling and special events that will further engage the guests and will provide a level of warmth, knowledge and service level that will assure the ever sophisticated guest has a wonderful stay at the resort.

Throughout his career, Rodriguez has given back to the community in various initiatives, such as assisting in the opening of a youth community center to tutor youths at risk. Prior to working in Food & Beverage, Rodriguez owned and operated the broadcasting of minor league baseball in La., where he and his father delivered coverage of the sport to the Spanish-speaking community.
