Bethesda, Maryland - February 13, 2012 - Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR;) is scheduled to open the 92-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Wednesday, February 22, 2012. The hotel will host a Grand Opening Celebration on Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony prior to. Located at 605 32nd Avenue SW, the Fairfield Inn & Suites Cedar Rapids will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Hawkeye Hotels of Burlington, Iowa.

Located at the 33rd Avenue Exit of Route I-380, two miles from downtown and five miles from the Eastern Iowa Airport, the hotel offers guests convenient access to Hawkeye Downs, Amana Colonies and the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library.
