The Service Companies Appoints New VPO, Thomas Mason
May 16, 2012 - Thomas Mason has been named to the new position of Vice President of Operations of The Service Companies, the leading one-stop-shop for heart of the house hospitality management in the hotel, casino and vacation ownership industries . His appointment is effective immediately. This was announced by Steve Wilson, President and CEO.

Mason brings to his post 30 years of experience in all aspects of property management, from operations and human resources to engineering, finance and sales. He spent many years with the Global Hyatt Corporation, beginning at various locations in Hyatt Regency properties in the Midwest US in the front office and rooms division. He was then promoted to Corporate Rooms Director as part of a “Best Practice” team. He went on to become General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Knoxville and later oversaw all company properties in Minneapolis. In 2007, he joined the Turnstone Group LLC as Asset Manager, responsible for providing direction for all of the firm's hospitality-related initiatives ensuring operating strategies were in place to maximize performance. Most recently he was General Manager of the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Minneapolis where he was a General Manager of the Year.
