. October 14, 2008

FEBRUARY 14, 2007. Destination Queenstown has appointed Katherine Prusas to the role of Business Development Manager - New Zealand, Australia and Asia. The role is a key link liaising with Queenstown's closest markets of Australia and Asia, as well as maintaining key relationships within New Zealand. The east coast of Australia will be a major focus for Ms Prusas, traveling and co-ordinating roadshows and sales calls in the country.

Ms Prusas has a strong background in public relations and tourism, and her former role as Sales Executive for Skyline Gondola Restaurant and Luge provided her with a strong working knowledge of Queenstown and solid relationships with a number of local businesses. Prior to this Ms Prusas spent a number of years at Lincoln University working in events, promotion and marketing.

Destination Queenstown CEO David Kennedy says he is delighted to welcome Ms Prusas to the team. "Katherine's skill in relationship building, and her previous tourism marketing experience, is ideal for developing and building new and existing business for Queenstown. Katherine will be an asset to the DQ team and we look forward to working with her."

Ms Prusas will work alongside DQ's Business Development Manager for the International Market, Linda McIntosh. Together the duo will be responsible for managing international relationships with key travel trade contacts worldwide and facilitating and co-ordinating familiarisation trips to promote Queenstown as the ultimate four-season lake and alpine resort destination.

Ms Prusas begins her role at Destination Queenstown on March 12, 2007.
