June 15, 2012 - Denver's new SpringHill Suites by Marriott Denver Downtown, which is scheduled to open August 2012, is pleased to announce that it has hired Anne Frye to serve as the Director of Sales & Marketing.

The 150-room hotel is also now accepting reservations, with rates starting at $219 per night for weekdays and $149 per night on the weekends.

With more than 12 years of customer-oriented sales experience, Frye most recently served as the Director of Sales & Marketing at the Courtyard by Marriott Denver Cherry Creek. Prior to that, she spent seven years as the Director of Sales & Marketing at the Doubletree Hotel Denver North in Westminster, Colo. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia.

“I am very excited to have Anne leading the sales team for this unique downtown Denver hotel,” said General Manager Scott Perry. “Her extensive hospitality sales leadership experience will help guarantee a successful launch of this new property.”

The SpringHill Suites by Marriott Denver Downtown is located in the heart of downtown Denver, a quick walk from the Colorado Convention Center, the Pepsi Center and the popular LoDo district and 16th Street Mall. The modern hotel will feature 150 spacious guest suites, all with a large work space, microwave, mini-fridge and a spa-like bathroom, plus 5,000 square feet of meeting space. Amenities include complimentary hot breakfast served daily, a Market, a fitness center and complimentary wireless Internet.

Managed by Denver-based Sage Hospitality Resources, the hotel will also house the Metropolitan State College of Denver's new Hotel and Hospitality Learning Center (HLC), a 28,000-square-foot educational facility that will combine classrooms with interactive laboratories to provide an experiential curriculum for the college's more than 500 Hospitality, Tourism and Events students, as well professionals seeking continuing education. Classes offered in the HLC will include Applied Hotel and Restaurant Operations, Hotel Housekeeping, Meeting and Event Management and Hospitality Service Systems.
