Heritage Hotels' Safari Tents Offer Expanded Options

. October 14, 2008

DENVER, CO, February 20, 2007. Heritage Management Ltd today is proud to launch their new family tents at Mara Intrepids camp in Kenya's famous Maasai Mara game reserve. These new accommodations are suitable for accommodating all members of a family in one suite while maintaining the unique 'under canvas' experience that make Kenyan safaris so memorable.

The unique family tents provide two separate sleeping areas and a full lounge and three individual verandahs - the perfect setup for a travel experience that provides convenience, comfort and the opportunity for parents to enjoy precious time alone while knowing their children are safely close-by. Ensuite facilities are also provided for each sleeping area. Three of these tents are now available at the Mara Intrepids Safari Camp and by the end of 2007 three family tents will be available at Samburu Intrepids Safari Camp as well.

The family tents are the latest family-friendly innovation following the development of Heritage Management's wildly successful 'Adventurer's Club' and 'Young Rangers' programs designed to bring a new level of enjoyment to younger travelers.

The Adventurer's Club program, designed for children aged four-12 is a comprehensive, action-packed group that allows younger visitors the opportunity to bring a new dimension to their safari experience. Activities offered include nature walks, guided naturalist-led visits, butterfly catching and identification, animal print plaster-casting, interactive visits to Maasai villages, traditional singing, dancing and craftwork sessions, and Maasai skills teaching (including spear throwing, archery and fire-building).

Teens aged 13-17 love the Young Rangers program, which offers astronomy lessons and star gazing, first-air and survival lessons, orienteering, bird and tree identification, guided bush walks, game drives led by a naturalist, camel rides and cultural activities.

David Stogdale, managing director of Heritage Management Ltd said, "The safari experience is one that moves and inspires people from all generations. Heritage's new family tents and family-focused programs provide the keys that open up a whole world of safari options to those both familiar with the African safari experience and families looking for options that are more tailored to their specific needs."
