The Chedi Muscat Adds Wine Spectator's 'Best of Award of Excellence'
September 27, 2012 - The Restaurant at The Chedi Muscat has claimed a first for the Middle East with a 'Best of Award of Excellence Award' from Wine Spectator Magazine, making it one of only 878 restaurants in the world with this honour.
The hotel has consistently won the Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence since 2006 but this is the first year the hotel has achieved the second-tier award, Best of Award of Excellence.
Wine Spectator's Restaurant Wine List Awards recognise restaurants whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers. The Best of Award of Excellence is the second-tier award, created to give special recognition to restaurants that clearly exceed the requirements of the Award of Excellence. Their wine lists typically offer 400 or more selections, along with superior presentation, and display either vintage depth, with several vertical offerings of top wines, or excellent breadth across several wine regions.
