. October 14, 2008

FEBRUARY 20, 2007. Hotel Technologies' iPOD stereo alarm clock radio continues to win top honors among national and international media; iHome Product substantiates why iPOD-compatible guest entertainment products need to be purchased for hotels a spirited newsweekly print magazine that distills the best of news, opinion, and ideas from the U.S. and international media, has named in its February 16, 2007 issue, the Hotel Technologies' iHomeTM product to be one of the "best alarm clocks" for consumers. iHomeTM is a customizable, digital intelligent alarm clock radio that works as a docking and charging station for iPods.

Manufacturer Hotel Technologies of Rahway, N.J., has received numerous honors for its iHome iH5 product, including: the "Innovations Award" in the Audio Components category at the 2006 International Consumer Electronics Show ; "Top 10 Accessories" for 2005 by MacWorld magazine; "Best Convergence Product" for 2005 by Playlist, and 2005 winner of the 10th Annual Editor's Choice Award during the International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show; taking home the overall 'Best of Show' award out of nearly 120 submissions.

"The accolades for iHome keep on coming, and we are honored that the consumer and hotel media continue to hold it in such high regard," said Ezra S. Ashkenazi, Hotel Technologies President and CEO. "The Week brings readers up to date on the world scene, and reports on what the smartest people are saying about it. We are honored that this publication reports to the world that iHome is one of the 'best' alarm clocks in a very large market."

It is reported in the Feb. 16 issue of The Week, Page 33: "Shoppers on the high-tech end of the time-keeping spectrum will appreciate this wonder. Of course, the iH5 tells time and rings on cue. But it also comes with two speakers, an iPOD port, and an AM/FM radio. Surprisingly, 'even the technophobes found it easy to program.'"

iHomeTM was established to address the rapidly growing market segment of iPod owners. According to Apple(R), more than 21,066,000 iPods were sold in forth quarter 2006 (ending December 30), representing 50 percent growth in iPods over the same period last year.

"With more than 60 million iPods sold to consumers, hoteliers would be wise to realize that providing guests with iPod-compatible amenities is the way of the future," said Chris Gowdy, Hotel Technologies Vice President. "Undisputedly consumers are traveling more frequently with their own music collection contained in their iPod. The iHome allows guests to personalize their in-room music experience by playing their iPod or shuffle directly through the clock radio in the guestroom. And, with the iPod docked, it is constantly being charged for the next use or the trip home while allowing guests to wake and sleep to their own personal music."

The iHome hotel version features a universal well docking station for iPods that is easily adjusted with the touch of a finger.

"Hotel Technologies continually strives to create innovative products and smart design concepts that are in tune with today's technology and travelers," Gowdy said. "Providing the iHome in guestrooms is a sure-fire way to increase guest satisfaction and drive brand loyalty while decreasing wake-up call volumes."

According to Gowdy, all Hotel Technologies alarm clock radio products feature a patent pending Single Day Alarm --a very important feature for hotels. If the previous guest sets an early alarm, Gowdy said the Single Day Alarm feature ensures that the next guest will not be awakened accidentally, since the alarm was never turned off.

The iHome, available in black or white, requires little set up as it comes with auto-setTM technology; the time is already set and the hotel version will also include FM pre-set buttons, allowing the hotelier to set four popular stations for the guest as an added convenience. EZ set directions make the iHome's alarm feature effortless for the guest to operate. An MP3/CD line-in cord is also provided so guests can plug in their CD players or any other branded MP3 players should they wish to do so.
