Eight Finalists Will Represent The Hotel At Auburn University at 2012 Stars of the Industry Dinner

AUBURN, AL - October 4, 2012 - The Hotel at Auburn University it excited to announce that it will have eight finalists representing the property at the 13th-annual Stars of the Industry Dinner taking place on Monday, October 15 at the Westin in Huntsville. Hosted by the Alabama Restaurant Association and Alabama Hospitality Association, the event is a celebration of excellence by individuals within the Foodservice and Hospitality industries.

The following employees were nominated in the subsequent categories:

•Caleb Reeves - Competing for Bartender of the Year in a mixology contest
•Alex Calambakas - Back of the House Hospitality Employee of the Year
•Emma Jordan - Back of the House Hospitality Employee of the Year
•Terri Lynn Beasley - Hospitality Department Manager of the Year
•Lauren Johnson - Hospitality Department Manager of the Year
•Adam Keeshan - Hospitality Department Manager of the Year
•Sara Barkley - Front the House Restaurant Employee of the Year
•Annie Clifton - Front the House Hospitality Employee of the Year

All finalists are presented a plaque recognizing their achievement and are also acknowledged before and during the dinner. A winner will be announced from each of the 15 categories that include employees, restaurateurs and hoteliers.

“Just to be named a finalist is an achievement in itself as each category receives numerous nominations and it is often difficult for the judging panel to delineate among some of the outstanding candidates,” said Larry Fidel, President of the Alabama Restaurant Association and Alabama Hospitality Association. “The event showcases the often unsung heroes of an industry that prides itself on providing excellence in service to the general public on a daily basis.”
