Pan Pacific Hotels Group Pursues Further Growth with Appointments to Its Growth and Development Team

Singapore - 11 October 2012 - Pan Pacific Hotels Group has announced two key appointments, Joe Wu as Vice President, Development - Greater China, and** Annie Soh** as Manager, Growth and Development, as the Group continues to build its presence in Greater China and the rest of Asia Pacific.

Based in Shanghai, Joe is responsible for driving the Group's growth and development plans for both its Pan Pacific and PARKROYAL brands in Greater China through the identifying, negotiating and securing of hotel management contracts and new hotel assets opportunistically. Meanwhile, based in Singapore, Annie will focus on growing the Group's portfolio of managed properties in other gateway markets in Asia Pacific.

Joe joins Pan Pacific Hotels Group with more than 10 years of hotel development experience. In his most recent role as Asia Pacific Director with Jumeirah International Group, he was instrumental in setting and executing strategic development plans in Chinese gateway cities like Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou, as well as the luxury tourist destinations of Sanya and Lijiang. Prior to his time at Jumeirah, he was co-head of China at HVS International where he led the feasibility study, operator search and management contract negotiation for major projects such as Shanghai Tower, Beijing Ritz-Carlton and Shenzhen Marriott.

A Chartered Surveyor by training, Joe holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from China's famed Tsinghua University and a Masters in Real Estate Finance & Economics from the London School of Economics.

Annie, who holds a business management degree from the Singapore Management University, brings with her extensive business development and operations experience in the hospitality industry. At her previous appointments with Raffles International and Frasers Hospitality, Annie was based in the various major cities of Shanghai, Singapore and London, responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing business development deals across Asia, Australia, Europe and the Middle East. She was involved in the completion of deals for Swissotel Grand Shanghai and Raffles Beijing Hotel as well as the acquisition and securing of management contracts for serviced residential properties in China and Hong Kong.

Rounding up Pan Pacific Hotels Group's Growth and Development Team are Growth and Development Executives Jenny Kim and Annie Deng. Based in Singapore, Jenny provides assistance in the evaluation of new projects and business opportunities, with her strong business analytical skills honed during her previous employment with Starwood, Morgan Stanley and Nomura Credit & Capital. Meanwhile, Annie, who supports the team from Shanghai, has a bachelor's degree in hospitality from the University Center of Cesar Ritz in Switzerland and valuable hotel operations experience with The Peninsula in Shanghai and New York.

The Growth and Development Team is helmed by Chief Financial Officer and Head of Business Development Neo Soon Hup. In the last three years, Pan Pacific Hotels Group has extended its presence to nine more Asia Pacific cities and added 15 hotels, resorts and serviced suites (including those in the pipeline) to its portfolio. “We are geared towards revving up our development efforts and Joe's and Annie's expertise and experience put us in excellent stead to build upon the strong portfolio we have already established,” said A.
